The idea for Coexist grew while its founders pursued master's studies at KU Leuven, Belgium. Exposure to sustainability discourse inspired them to share knowledge, build connections, and empower young people across Southeast Asia and communities with limited access.
In 2025, Coexist officially became a legal entity in Indonesia. Coexist Space is now part of AMAN Terra Global, a nonprofit organization based in Leuven, Hanoi, and Jakarta.
